Natural Mediterranean Sea Sponge ARCIPELAGO (half-processed) 10 cm FOR ARTS
ARCIPELAGO is the classic sponge from the Mediterranean sea. The medium pores sponge is highly valued for its elasticity and durability. ARCIPELAGO sponges are widely used by ceramics and painters; they are suitable for decorative walls or furniture's painting, cleaning of various surfaces, dishwashing, pet washing and so on.
It is a 2nd class sea sponge which may contain residues of sea plants and shells, may have defects in color or shape, may be harder or softer than high-class sponges, and may have a shorter life.
Before using this sponge, we recommend to moisten it and press it gently it to make sure there are no prickly plants or weed residues inside.
Natural sea sponges are:
- naturally antibacterial and antifungal;
- extremely absorbent;
- collected and processed manually;
- 100 % biodegradable.
How to use
Always moisten the sponge with water before use. Rinse the sponge with cold running water after use and leave it to dry naturally.

The sponges that we sell are created by nature, so every sponge is unique by its shape, size and colour. Sand, shelves or sea plants residues may be present in the sponges. This does not affect the quality of the sponges, but proves their natural origin.
